Gordal olives are green olives from Andalusia, a southwestern region of Spain, and are particularly prized for their large size. These olives will surprise you with their size and fleshy, balanced flavor.
The Gordal variety is quite common in southern Spain. The name Gordal comes from the Spanish word Gordo, meaning fat, to indicate just how large it is.
