Manzanilla olives get their name from the Spanish translation of "small apple," which really stands for the spherical, round shape of the olive. It is a typical green olive in Spanish gastronomy, rich in oil that makes it very palatable as well as containing all the nutritional elements of premium olive oil. It has a delicate and slightly sweet flavor, with a touch of bitterness and a salty note.
